Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera (Spanish pronunciation: [alˈfonso eˈreɾa]; born Alfonso Herrera Rodríguez on August 28, 1983) is a Mexican actor and singer, who is best known for starring in Clase 406 (2002), Rebelde (2004), RBD: La Familia (2007), Mujeres Asesinas (2009) Camaleones (2009), El Equipo (2011), Sense8 (2015-present), and El Dandy (2015). As of autumn 2016, Herrera starred alongside Geena Davis, Ben Daniels, and Alan Ruck in the 10-episode, critically acclaimed Fox TV adaptation "inspired by" the William Peter Blatty best-selling novel, The Exorcist.

He gained international fame as a member of the Latin Grammy nominated pop group RBD (2004–2009). He has since appeared in films like Amarte Duele (2002), Venezzia (2009), Espectro (2013), La Dictadura Perfecta (2014) and El Elegido (2016).

Alfonso Herrera Rodríguez was born in Mexico City. He has an older brother, Alejandro and a younger brother, Oscar. He attended the Edron Academy, a prestigious high class British school, alongside Gael García Bernal and Ximena Sariñana and graduated in 2002. Herrera originally wanted to become a pilot and was going to move to San Antonio, Texas to enroll in an aviation school. He changed his mind and decided to enroll at the Centro de Educación Artística run by Latin American media giant Televisa.
