Bezliudivka


Bezliudivka (Ukrainian: Безлюдівка; Russian: Безлюдовка) is an urban-type settlement located in the Kharkiv Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Adjacent to the southern boundary of the city Kharkiv. Situated on the river Udy (Seversky Donets Basin), 3 km from the railway halt platform "Bezliudivka".

In the settlement there is a Nahorivs'ke Lake.

Near Bezliudivka is located the sand pit. There is a Judicial Lyceum, secondary school, clinic, 3 libraries, club.

Bezlyudovka was founded only at the end of the 17th century. First mentioned in documents of 1681-1690 years.

Soviet power was established in December 1917.

In 1938 the village of Bezlyudovka was classified as a urban-type settlement.

On the fronts of the Great Patriotic War 988 inhabitants of the village fought, 124 of them died, 798 were awarded orders and medals of the Soviet Union.

In 1964 the state farm "Bezliudiv'sky" was formed.

In 1989, the population was 10 387 people, according to the 2001 census - 9693 people.

The current population is 9,693 (as of 2001).
