Blaenycoed, or Blaen-y-coed is a village situated between Carmarthen and Newcastle Emlyn in the West of Wales.
The small village contains 17 houses, a chapel, a postbox, a phonebox and a few small farms. The name "Blaen-y-coed" literally translated into English means "Head-of-the-wood." . It is also home to a camping and caravanning site Woodland Rise.
