Chaetodon zanzibarensis is a species of marine angelfish with a wide range throughout the western Indian Ocean, including the waters of the Chagos Archipelago, Comoros, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte. Mozambique, Réunion, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Yemen. It prefers lagoons and outer reef slopes at depths of 1–40 metres (3.3–131.2 ft) where it feeds solely on corals, particularly Acropora species.
