FileMaker Inc. is a computer software company formed in 1998 from the vestiges of Claris as a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc.

FileMaker develops, supports and markets the relational database program FileMaker. FileMaker is available for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems and is aimed towards business use, or home users with high-end needs. The Bento database product aimed at the home user or basic small business user has been discontinued.

FileMaker Inc. produces several database applications, mostly under the FileMaker name and generally split between server and stand alone, non-server, variations intended for different markets. On July 20, 2010, the company released FileMaker Go which provides access using the iPad and iPhone to databases created with Filemaker Pro.
