The production is handled by Nosaj Thing, Nobody, Daedelus, Free the Robots, and Thavius Beck, among others. It features contributions from Busdriver and The Gaslamp Killer.
Zoneil Maharaj of XLR8R gave Jimmy the Lock an 8.5 out of 10, commenting that the album lives in both worlds of "the heralded cipher circle Project Blowed and beat-head bastion Low End Theory."
