Julia Ducournau (born 18 November 1983) is a French film director and screenwriter. She attended La Fémis and studied screenwriting. In 2011, her short film Junior won the Petit Rail d'Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
Her 2016 film Raw was screened in the International Critics' Week section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. The project had been developed through the TorinoFilmLab Framework programme in 2013. In October 2016, Raw won the Sutherland Award for Best First Feature at the London Film Festival.
