Namkoong Won (born August 1, 1934) is a South Korean actor. Namkoong was born Hong Gyeong-il in 1934. He was a popular actor of the 1960s along with Shin Seong-il, Shin Young-kyun and Choi Moo-ryong. Director Shin Sang-ok appraised his appearance that "The only Korean actor who has an international sense can compete Western actors." On the other hand, the flawless image limited his acting career.
