Ramthakur (Bengali: [Rāma ṭhākura]) (Bengali: শ্রীশ্রী রামঠাকুর) (2 February 1860 – 1 May 1949) born Ram Chandra Chakraborty (Bengali: রাম চন্দ্র চক্রবর্তী), was an Indian mystic and yogi during 19th century India. He is also known as Sri Sri Kaibalyanath and as Satyanarayan.

Ramthakur descended on earth on 2nd February 1860 as Ramchandra Chakroborty in the Brahmin Bidyalankar family at Dingamanik,in Faridpur district of Bangladesh, to father Radhamadhab Chakroborty and mother Smt.Kamala Devi.At the time of birth, Kamala Devi delivered a bag of blood which the foster mother threw in a garden of nut. When Sri Radhamadhab enquired about his wife's condition,he was told everything. However, he knew by meditation that an extraordinary being had taken birth in his home.He went to the garden and reached the spot where the bag had been thrown and surprisingly discovered two babies lying there under the guidance of a fox.He then took the babies home. The older one was Ram (Ram Thakur) and the younger one was his twin brother Lakshman, who didn't live long enough.

He received very little formal education but was the all-knowing entity since he was God himself in human form.He appeared in the human form on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya. Also, his thread ceremony(poita or janeu sanskar) took place on Akshaya Tritiya. Even he took Mahasamadhi on the same day.

As a child, he was very quite and strongly attached to his father's spiritual guide, who later encouraged him to lead an ascetic life.He didn't took food or bath and wandered here and there in his village before leaving home at the age of 12.Though he didn't take food or bath,he was healthy and fine. He, at times, accepted offerings from devotees only to please them.

After leaving home,he came to Kamakhya Barhi where he met his Guru and thereafter went to the Himalayas. He could meditate in an Ashram lacking oxygen and was free of worldly desires and feelings. He wasn't affected by heat and cold.He always wore plain clothes.

He witnessed the World Wars, riots and struggles against British rule.During these adverse times,he constantly stood beside helpless humanity and supported the sufferers. He established the Kaibalyadham Ashram and stated that all deities reside there. He left his mortal body and entered Mahasamadhi on the third day of New moon, on 1st May 1949 at Chaumohani, a town in the district Noakhali of Bangladesh.A heritage named Samadhi Mandir has been set up there, where his holy remains have been kept.
