Ranko Popović (Serbian Cyrillic: Paнкo Пoпoвић, born 26 June 1967) is a Serbian retired footballer who played as a central defender, and a current coach. He also holds an Austrian passport.

Born in Peć, SAP Kosovo, SR Serbia, Popović played in the Yugoslav First League with FK Partizan. He also had a brief spell with UD Almería in the Spanish Segunda División.

In July 2009, Popović accepted an offer to coach the J-league club Oita Trinita, which had experienced 14 consecutive defeats in the season. In his first six matches, the team only won once, but in the last ten matches of the season, it did not lose once (5 wins and 5 draws). This result earned him and offer to coach the team for the next season, but the team nearly went bankrupt, and his contract had to be canceled.

Popović was appointed manager of Machida Zelvia on 15 December 2010.

On 24 November 2014, after stints at FC Tokyo and Cerezo Osaka, he was appointed at the helm of Real Zaragoza, replacing fired Víctor Muñoz.

Popović was dismissed on 20 December 2015, after a 1–3 loss against Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

On 25 August 2016, Buriram United F.C. of Thai League T1 appointed Ranko Popović as the club head coach to fill the vacant role after the dismissal of Afshin Ghotbi. He made the official debut on 10 September 2016, guided Buriram to win 2–1 over Bangkok Glass F.C. at home in the game of Thai League.
