Raynald was a Benedictine Bishop of Nocera. Born around 1150, in the village of Postignano, near Nocera, Italy, to parents of German descent. He entered the Benedictines monastery at Fonte-Avellana, and there he remained until he was appointed Bishop of Nocera, in 1217. He remained in this office until his death in 1225.
