Robert P. "Rob" Bauer (born 1962) is the Royal Netherlands Navy Lieutenant admiral. He is the current Chief of defence (Dutch: Commandant der strijdkrachten). He was the Vice Chief of Defence of the Armed forces of the Netherlands from 1 September 2015 until 13 July 2017.
