Sean Rudder (born 13 February 1979) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s, and 2000s. He played for the Newcastle Knights, Castleford Tigers and the Catalans Dragons as a five-eighth.
Rudder played a five-eighth for the Newcastle Knights in their 2001 NRL Grand Final victory over the Parramatta Eels. Having won the 2001 NRL Premiership, the Knights traveled to England to play the 2002 World Club Challenge against Super League champions, the Bradford Bulls. Rudder played at five-eighth in Newcastle's loss.
He later played for the Newtown Jets in the NSWRL Premier League.
Sean now currently resides in Melbourne, Victoria and plays Rugby League socially with workmates and friends in South East Melbourne. His "bittersweet" outlook on life that was commonly respected by fans continues into his late 30's as he struggles with the hardships of working at a Labouring company.
