Trooper is a census-designated place (CDP) in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,744 at the 2010 census.

Trooper is located at 40°8′56″N 75°23′50″W / 40.14889°N 75.39722°W / 40.14889; -75.39722 (40.148845, -75.397170).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.2 km2), all of it land.

As of the 2010 census, the CDP was 86.9% Non-Hispanic White, 2.2% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American and Alaskan Native, 6.8% Asian, 1.0% were Some Other Race, and 1.0% were two or more races. 3.2% of the population were of Hispanic or Latino ancestry.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6,061 people, 2,056 households, and 1,655 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,546.9 people per square mile (983.3/km2). There were 2,107 housing units at an average density of 885.4/sq mi (341.8/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.80% White, 1.30% African American, 0.23% Native American, 5.63% Asian, 0.18% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races.
