Waverly is a city in Coffey County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 592.
Waverly was founded in 1878. It was named by a pioneer settler for his hometown of Waverly, Indiana.
The first post office in Waverly was established on June 10, 1878.
Waverly is located at 38°23′41″N 95°36′08″W / 38.394745°N 95.602354°W (38.394745, -95.602354). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.73 square miles (1.89 km2), of which 0.72 square miles (1.86 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water.
